Hat Forms

I created a few head forms that I took with me to the  street faire I recently attended...
There is a lot of work that go into making these... a lot of mindless work that is. It is the perfect project for sitting in front of the television to work on.
As I place each piece of metal I also add some pins to make sure everything stays in place.
I created five of these head/hat forms...
They all sold...

I've got a few upcoming selling events that I'm interested in attending... but I really haven't made anything "new".... so I'm not really "feeling-it" as I'm so busy with other stuff recently... and I also start puppy training with my German Shepard puppy, Akira on Saturday. Busy, busy, BUSY.
big hugs,

  2. these are great! Very unique. I imagine you could have sold a lot of them. My hats...I LOVE wearing hats...are in hat boxes stacked on one of the dressers in our bedroom.

Oh, I hope you pill post more pics of the pup! They grow so fast. Our Boxer and Boxer/pit are 2-1/2 years old now. We have taken a ton of pics since they were pups. They filled our empty nest, lol. Our neighbor has a beautiful Shepherd that had obedience lessons. He is so well behaved! Ivan has only to raise and lower his hand and both of his dogs lay down. It's amazing. Wish our Boscoe (boxer/Pit) did that!!

    Glad to see you post.
    Have a great weekend.
    xx, Carol

  3. Metal? Wow! This are very different and really striking. I can see why they'd take ages to make. But they must really attract attention -- beautiful.

  4. Oh Wow those are cool, I can see why they sold, good job! Have fun with the doggy training, a friend said it was the best thing she could have ever done with hers, makes me think if I get another one I may have to do that too :)

  5. Thanks for showing us the process. I've never worked with metal sheets. I'm not surprised they all sold :-)
