Once that was dry, I simply added some shredded paper grass and a tiny fairy to each egg. I have the eggs sitting in little metal nests that originally were to be used for candles. (my dog ate one of the eggshells, nothing is sacred in this house!) You can see more "Project Friday" projects over at the blog Sugarplum Cottage. If you have linked here you can view more of my blog by clicking this link~ I've got a lot of easy-peasy recipes that you could try out...and then you would have loads of eggshells to play around with!!

Project Friday~
I've made some little fairies sitting in some Robin's eggs....When I was baking recently I tried to crack the chicken eggs not in half like you normally would do... I tried to crack them higher to have more "egg" left to use as little nests for my tiny fairies. I washed them out using hot water and then let them soak in a bowl filled with hot water and a couple of squirts of some kitchen cleaner that has bleach in it. Then I just painted each egg with two coats of blue paint. (Apple Barrel's Regency Blue) I placed each egg onto a paint brush sitting in a cup to let them dry completely. Using an old toothbrush, I splattered some brown paint (Apple Barrel's Dark Chocolate) and some off white paint (Apple Barrel's Antique White) all over the eggs.Aren't they just so darn caute??
