Mixed Media Monday...

This weeks challenge theme was: use "warm" colors. I made these teeny-tiny little boxes with tiny halloween fairies in them. I love to create these little boxes. These ones are the smallest I've ever made~I made 12 in total~Also.... I was needing a sturdy box to ship something in the mail ...soooooo I made a box out of an old scrabble board. Neat huh?I got rolls and rolls of the neatest old brown tape-- which is what I used on the fairy charms and the scrabble box.

    Oh they are so cute - they'll look fab dangling from a bare branch on Halloween weaving their magic spells!
    What a genius idea to use that old scrabble board for a box - very clever indeed :)

    Can you share how you made the scrabble box? Have one to up cycle and thought I'd try to make a "pencil" box for my daughters treasures. But I'm no good at figuring out measurements. Thanks!

    I just bought some old Scrabble games to use the rules for crafts and didn't want to just discard the boards. I'm so glad I found your idea on Pinterest!! Thanks for sharing!!
