First Place Find

I found this silver plated trophy for $1.25... I don't think the lid goes with it-- but its staying with the trophy. It looks very old like it was won in 1900--- but no, it was won in 1995.
This little puppy in a pink basket was $2.00. When you wind it up, it turns in the basket...all the while barking...Then it quickly spins back into the basket. Its super cute.I once had this very same toy only instead of a puppy it was a kitten.
Now, I'm on the hunt for the kitten in a basket.

  1. Ok, I've been looking for that trophy just about all my life! Ok, well, maybe that's a slight exaggeration...but you really scored there and I mean SCORED! I'm so jealous, but quite happy for you. Wish I could find such a treasure.

  2. Cool trophy! Even if it isn't a true antique it has a great look and can't beat that price! My Mom has that same pink basket in her childhood bedroom but now I can't remember what was in it! Will have to ask her.

  4. That trophy certainly did oxidize with a nice patina. Cute puppy, too. have a great weekend. Tammy

  5. I have trophies on my Things I Want list. I rarely find one and when I do the price is usually very high. What a lucky score for you.

  7. Omg! I saw the little puppy in the pink basket by accident on your blog... it's the same puppy I got when I was 4 years old! I'm now 47 years (!) and I recognized it at once! You really made my day with this picture...
