Show & Tell Friday~

I'm going to share a WoNdErFuL website that I have bookmarked on my computer~ It is a site that shares FABULOUS photos of CUTE homes that will make you click each one bigger so you can inspect every single corner...no lie! It is called "The Old Painted Cottage" and they feature a different "Cottage" each Month... you can find it here: http://theoldpaintedcottage.com/cottagemonth.html Your going to want to bookmark this yourself...I promise you! Such wonderful photos! Enjoy~

Here is a photo of a clothspin bag that I made using an old vintage clothspin bag as a pattern. It was super easy to make... I'm going to use this one to hold plastic bags :-) The original wasn't quite squared across the bottom...and I didn't realize it until this one was (of course) finished lol. The next one will be straight! lol I was thinking these would make cute gift bags to hold small gifts in. Here is a photo of one of my cats, Charlie. She likes to be called Char-Char. I wrestled her from the grips of death over a year ago. She was literally a starving to death ferral runt/kitten when I rescued her. She was wild but so weak she couldn't move so thats how I was able to get her. It was my intention to get her to a healthy weight and give her away.... yep, she is NOT going anywhere now! lol This photo does not do her justice. She is thee most loving, talkative cat that has the most loving ways about her. I am blessed to have her in my life. It wasn't my intention to blog about Char-Char but she kept walking across my keyboard until I promised I would~ the little stinker.

Hi Cheryl,
You're so right about the Cottage site - I've bookmarked it myself, and am going to put a link on my blog too, as I know many of my blog friends will just adore it!
I love hearing stories about people rescuing animals and keeping them - Char-Char sounds soooo lovable. Clothespin bag - clever you! Great ideas there.

Char-Char is so adorable! I love cats that "talk" to you. And I'm so glad you rescued her. That's how I got all my cats - rescued them from abandonment by their owners who are my next-door neighbors. My George is really talkative, and Prowler is my little shadow. Baby still hasn't come home, but I still expect to see her every morning when I get up. Guess I need to accept the fact that I'm probably never going to see her again. But the other 4 that are left are giving me lots of love. They seem to understand - I think they miss her too. So we are consoling each other. In case you haven't noticed, I'm a BIG fan of cats, and yours is beautiful. A purr-fect show and tell!

Something wrong!!!! here by me. I can not open that site.
A month, suppose that is to then be able to go to very house and see every corner of it.
My mother used to make clothespin bags too.
The cat, I am certain is lovely. Me I struggle to like them.

What a cute bag and what great ideas on how to use them. The Silhouettes on my blog are the painted variety not paper cut-outs.

That clothespin bag brought back so many memories of my mother and I tending the wash together. At 5 years old that was a very important job to hold the clothespin bag.

Take care,
Connie
Mine is up.

The clothespin bag is cute. Have to put that in my file of ideas to copy. Your cat is cute. Cats are stinkers, aren't they?

Thanks for the link to the cottage site. Cool!

I love your clothes pin bag. My mom and great aunt had clothes pin bags that looked like little girls dresses. I always was wanting to cut the bottom and use it for my dolls but they wouldn't let me! LOL

I think your clothespin bag is just great! Oh, I love rescue stories. Bless you!!! I had to give your kitty a little scratch on the head while she was sitting there so pretty. Yes, she looks like she doesn't intend to go anywhere ;-)
