Well, I'm done. Here is my newly remodeled bathroom in all its glory!
Re-plastering the walls turned out to be easier than I thought. The first thirty minutes I felt sooooo nauseous, all the while thinking "What have I done!"
But after it started to look really good--- I started thinking, "Dang, I could give a class on this! Once I got the hang of it, it was fun! I bought this new vanity at the Depot.... the granite is brown & beige with some pinks too.
Once the plaster on the walls dried and it was sanded & dusted, I primed (2 coats) and painted (2 coats). Then I laid a new floor.....
I hung fabulous decorative trim around the ceiling and my hubby installed a new light fixture....Even though the fixture has four lights, it gives off a light soothing glow. Once I start soaking in my tub, I might never come out~
I put in some new floor trim and added matching bronzed touches to the light switch and plug plate... I treated myself to a new miter box & saw, needless to say, I'm going to be adding trim to everything in my house now.
This soffit over the bathtub is something I made a long time ago. The new ceiling molding makes it feel brand new again.
Now comes the fun part... buying all the accessories to go in my newly remodeled bathroom. I'm talking---bronze soap dispenser, chocolate brown towels.... the works. I am going to color match the vanity cabinet and paint another cabinet to set in the bathroom behind the door. Eeeek... I better start focusing on Christmas gifts... thats fast approaching!
LOVE your new bathroom! What is your floor made of? It looks like wood...I need a new floor and a little makeover in mine and I'm looking for ideas! Love the beadboard over the shower!

How fantastic that you were able to do it all yourself. Is there anything you can't do? :) My husband had someone come in to change the light fixture in our bathroom. Boy, what a mess -- it's not even hung straight, doesn't cover the round hole in the wall, and he damaged the area underneath by trying to put screws through the backside of the tiles. Ugh! It still looks like that weeks later although I told hubby to please fix it! Enjoy decorating your new lovely space. Tammy P.S. Believe you me, Kuwait is no vacation :/
